Freight Forwarders, BE AWARE! In United States (Plaintiff) v. Freight Forwarder International, Inc. (Defendant), the Defendant paid duties directly to U.S. Customs on behalf of its importing clients, and sought reimbursement in its invoice to the client. Customs fined the Defendant $10,000 for transacting customs business without a license. The Defendant failed to pay the $10,000 penalty.
