Apple Hides Behind Shell Corporation as it Seeks Ownership of New Trademark
The new Apple iPhone 7 is expected to launch in early September, 2016. The iPhone 7 represents the latest generation in Apple’s iPhone arsenal, with new features and design elements. Namely, Apple’s removal of the longstanding headphone jack, and release of Apple’s first wireless Bluetooth headphone device, known as “AIRPODS.”
In an effort to protect its exclusive right to the name “AIRPODS,” Entertainment in Flight, LLC., rumored to be a shell company of Apple, has filed a trademark application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“PTO”) for the registration of the mark “AIRPODS.”
If you’re thinking about registering your trademark with PTO, or simply have questions about protecting your intellectual property rights, then Davidson Law Group, P.A. is happy to help. Please call us today for a free consultation!
